In March 2018 I decided to team up with the ultra talented Scott Flanigan and his quartet to make some new music. Scott was kind enough to re-write 20 arrangements to my specification. The arrangements were then taken to Sonic Recording Studios where we recorded these charts with Scott and his quartet. The songs I chose were a mix of the great standards made famous by singers like; Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett to mention a few. The music was recorded for me to use at my live gigs an events, giving me the most professional, crisp and polished backing tracks in the country.

In March of 2017 I went in to the recording studio to cut some brand new music with the fantastic Rick Swan Trio. The songs were all standards from The Great American Songbook and re-swung my way! Rick took songs like Nat king Cole’s Smile, Peggy Lee’s I Love Being Here With You, Diana Krall’s When I Grow Too Old To Dream and added a new spin to them. These songs were all recorded to provide a larger catalogue of music for my clients and residency gigs. Although it’s an expensive way of producing new music for live work it adds pure class and quality. Recorded by the very best studio in Ireland, Sonic Studios was able to Mic up their Grand Piano with the same equipment and know how as Capitol Studios in LA. The outcome and feedback from the tracks have been brilliant, with a warmth to every song and a quality not found in other singers tracks it keeps my musical catalogue a step ahead the rest.

Throughout the year I perform my Swing, Jazz & Big Band show as one of the resident singers in the luxurious Galgorm Spa & Resort. The show features so many of the beautiful songs we have all come to know and love. The performance takes place in the hotels River Room Conservatory, adjacent to the RiverRoom Restaurant.
My show is very easy listening and covers a huge range of hits from the Great American Songbook. You can sit back, relax and listen to the music and experience what the Vegas Lounges would have been like in the 1960’s. Grab some Cocktails,Coffees or Gin and unwind to the music.

A few years back I was told about a nationwide completion that was being run for ‘The Peoples Crooner’ … So I decided that I would take part in it. The show needed a demo song so they could shortlist the competitors and I had a nice recording of Nat King Coles; The Autumn Leaves. A Beautiful ballad. The song was enough for me to get down to the final few. After a trip to London to sign some papers and meet the other competitors I was signed up and ready for action.
The next week I flew back to London and was driven to the BBC studios (although it was a channel 3 TV show it was filmed at the BBC) What can I say about Alan Titchmarsh? What a gentleman … He made time for everyone that day, making everyone so comfortable on the set and sharing some jokes. I’d like to say he put me at ease but I was very nervous with all the bustle of the cameras, cranes, people running around and then the pressure of ‘3, 2, 1, we’re rolling’ lol. My song was a Sinatra classic, written by Jimmy Van Heusen entitled Come Fly With Me. The experience was brilliant and the audience, including Alan loved the performance. I earned praise from the judges and left so proud to have made it to the finals. What a great experience!
